Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a meeting with Paresh Jhumarwala, founder and director of the Indian company GPE EXPO.

During the meeting, Mr. Jhumarwala provided a detailed overview of GPE EXPO’s activities, highlighting major projects implemented in India and Bangladesh, as well as the company’s current operations in Nigeria and Jordan. He praised Uzbekistan’s reforms and potential in the pharmaceutical sector, emphasizing that the country is confidently becoming the pharmaceutical center of Central Asia.

The head of GPE EXPO also announced plans to organize a large international pharmaceutical exhibition in Uzbekistan in the near future.

In response, the Director of the Agency expressed readiness to support GPE EXPO’s initiatives, noting that such cooperation would contribute to the accelerated development of the country’s pharmaceutical industry.

Following the meeting, both parties agreed to establish mutually beneficial partnership and expand it gradually in stages.
