Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March 2026, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a business forum with participation from representatives of Belarus, the Gomel Region, and Uzbek business circles.
The event provided a key platform to strengthen friendly relations between the countries, enhance trade and economic cooperation, and expand direct contacts between entrepreneurs.
During the forum, participants highlighted positive trends in bilateral trade. In 2025, the volume of mutual trade reached US$965 million, with both sides targeting an increase to US$1 billion in the near future.
Uzbekistan continues to show steady growth in exports of textiles, metal products, and agricultural goods. Belarus is gradually increasing shipments of dairy and meat products, pharmaceuticals, and industrial equipment.
Around 50 leading Uzbek entrepreneurs from food processing, construction, furniture, and textile sectors attended the forum. The Belarusian delegation showcased major industrial enterprises, highlighting export potential and investment opportunities. Discussions focused on prospects for production cooperation, joint projects, and entry into new markets.
Within the forum framework, cooperation agreements were signed between the Gomel Region and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent Region, alongside commercial contracts for the supply of dairy and meat products, agricultural machinery, and wood products.
These agreements are expected to strengthen long-term, sustainable cooperation, support new investment projects, and contribute to further growth of bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
