Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurahmonov held several meetings and reached agreements on the development of bilateral cooperation during his visit to the Federal Republic of Germany as part of the delegation led by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

In particular, a meeting with Secretary of State of German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) Thomas Reichel was held. The meeting focused on activities implemented in cooperation and plans for the future.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to organize a contest for joint scientific projects and attract financial resources to develop the dialogue between Uzbek and German scientists.

The sides also discussed issues on organizing scientific internship programs for young Uzbek scientists and advanced training of scientists and researchers of our country in advanced scientific institutions and laboratories of Germany in cooperation with BMBF.
