Uzbekistan and Georgia Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Politics, Economy, and Culture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 October 2025, Tashkent hosted the latest round of Uzbek-Georgian inter-ministerial political consultations.

The delegations of both countries were led by Bobur Usmanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, and Alexander Khvtisiashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

During the consultations, the sides conducted a thorough exchange of views on the broad agenda of Uzbek-Georgian relations, reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements following high-level and top-level visits, and identified priority areas for further development of cooperation. Special attention was paid to coordinating the schedule of upcoming events at various levels.

Mutual interest was confirmed in deepening practical interaction in political, trade-economic, transport-logistics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The parties agreed to take additional measures to increase the volume of bilateral trade and implement joint projects in areas such as logistics, transport, agriculture, tourism, and education.

Additionally, discussions were held on improving the legal and contractual framework of bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation within international organizations.
