Uzbekistan and Frankfurt Main Finance Explore Deeper Financial Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 June, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held talks with Hubertus Väth, Managing Director of Frankfurt Main Finance and Co-Chair of the World Alliance of Financial Centers.

The meeting focused on the prospects of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany’s leading financial institutions. Mr. Väth expressed strong interest in supporting the entry of major German financial players into the Uzbek market and fostering long-term partnerships.

A particular emphasis was placed on building a favorable ecosystem for attracting venture capital, business angels, and other alternative investment actors. The two sides also explored the potential adaptation and implementation of international best practices in fintech and investment management — areas in which Frankfurt Main Finance and the World Alliance of Financial Centers have extensive expertise.

Uzbekistan’s recent reforms aimed at improving the investment climate, enhancing financial infrastructure, and ensuring sustainable economic growth received high praise from the German side. Both parties affirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation through joint events, expert consultations, and initiatives designed to strengthen bilateral financial ties.

The talks underscored the growing mutual interest in developing a strategic financial and investment partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany.
