Uzbekistan and Finland Discuss New Investment Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A roundtable involving around 30 leading Finnish companies was held in Helsinki to discuss new investment opportunities between Uzbekistan and Finland, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said.
Among the participating companies were Nokia, Wärtsilä, East Office of Finnish Industries, Metso, and Finnish Water Forum.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for expanding joint projects in energy, mining, transport, information technology, mechanical engineering, and other sectors.
Saidov emphasized the strong potential for economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland, particularly through business-to-business (B2B) partnerships.
“We are confident that today’s dialogue will contribute to the implementation of new joint projects and further strengthening of economic ties between our countries,” he noted.
The event served as an important platform for exchanging experience and discussing opportunities to expand cooperation in strategically important sectors, opening new prospects for business contacts between Finnish and Uzbek companies.
