Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  An online meeting was held between Uzbekistan and Egypt to deepen bilateral cooperation in regulating the pharmaceutical industry.

The event was attended by Alisher Temirov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety; Dr. Muhammad Gad, Advisor to Egypt’s Minister of Health; Dr. Olfat Gorab, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Egypt’s pharmaceutical company for medicines and medical devices; and Dr. Yusuf Hottami, a representative of Egypt’s Drug Authority.

Key topics discussed included pharmaceutical product regulation, ensuring the safety of medicines and medical devices, conducting joint research, and implementing innovations in the pharmaceutical industry.

The parties also explored opportunities to learn from Egypt’s advanced pharmaceutical practices, expand scientific collaboration, and implement joint programs aimed at ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products.
