Uzbekistan and DoCotton Group Discuss Expanding Cooperation in the Textile Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 January 2026, in Ankara, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish textile company DoCotton Group Mehmet Doğan met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov.
DoCotton Group is an international company based in Türkiye that covers the entire textile value chain—from cotton cultivation to processing and global market distribution.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the textile industry, with particular emphasis on cotton cultivation and deep processing in compliance with international sustainability and quality standards, including GOTS, OCS, OEKO-TEX, Regenerative Agriculture (RegAgri), and BCI requirements.
The discussions also addressed the development of the leather, sewing, and silk industries, the introduction of modern technologies, expansion of the value chain, formation and sale of carbon credits, eco-friendly production, and the broad adoption of “green” technologies.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to develop practical and long-term strategic cooperation, expand exchanges of expertise, and jointly design projects in the areas outlined.
