Uzbekistan and China to Establish Platform for Women Entrepreneurs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, Shahlo Ibragimova, Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Yang Bo, President of the Chinese company Jiangsu Tonke Real Estate Co., Ltd.

The meeting was also attended by Alisher Shaykhov, Advisor to the Chairperson of the Chamber, and A. Akhmedova, representative of Tai Chang Special Steel LLC.

During the discussion, the parties reviewed the current priority areas of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

In particular, they discussed cooperation in the IT sector, implementation of dual education, development of trade operations through marketplaces, training entrepreneurs to work on electronic trading platforms, experience exchange programs, and the implementation of new investment projects.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to establish a joint platform in Beijing that will serve as a bridge for women entrepreneurs from both countries, as well as to open women’s business centers in Beijing and Tashkent.
