Uzbekistan and China Launch Economic Experience Exchange Program

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 December, the Economic Development and Experience Exchange Program between Uzbekistan and China was launched in Beijing, organized jointly by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan (MIFT) and the National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC).

The initiative aims to deepen institutional cooperation and adopt China’s advanced practices in economic reforms and industrial development.

On the same day, a Working Group meeting was held under the MIFT-NDRC interaction mechanism, chaired by Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and NDRC Vice Chairman Zhou Haibin. Members of the Uzbek delegation and representatives of the Chinese side took part in the discussions.

The meeting focused on the development of trade, transport, and logistics links, as well as accelerating the implementation of major infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan–China railway.

In addition, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in artificial intelligence and the joint development of satellite technologies, including the creation of a regional Beidou system center in Central Asia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to further expand strategic dialogue and practical cooperation.
