Uzbekistan and China Expand Agricultural Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 August, Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, held talks with Su Linyuan, Chairman of the Supply and Trade Cooperation Association of Shaanxi Province, China.

Chinese partners noted that relations between Uzbekistan and China have been developing on a solid and stable basis for many years. Special attention was given to the strategic geographical location of Shaanxi Province, the starting point of the Great Silk Road, which plays an important role in agricultural development.

In turn, D. Rasulov emphasized that China is one of Uzbekistan’s key trade partners and briefed his counterparts on the country’s agricultural potential, sustainable development trends, foreign direct investment figures, and growth in export-import directions.

The meeting discussed prospects for implementing new joint projects in agriculture, processing industries, and high-quality food production.

At the conclusion of the talks, both sides highlighted the practical importance of bilateral cooperation and agreed to advance to a new stage of engagement aimed at developing agriculture, strengthening export-import potential, and expanding mutually beneficial ties.
