Uzbekistan and China Agree to Strengthen Contacts at Various Levels in 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 January, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Yu Jun.

During the talks, the parties discussed pressing issues on the agenda of the all-weather, comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.

It was noted with satisfaction that a busy schedule of mutual visits and contacts at various levels is planned for 2026.

In this context, the sides agreed to continue close coordination and practical cooperation to ensure the thorough preparation and successful implementation of upcoming joint events.
