Uzbekistan and Belarus Strengthen Youth Cooperation in Democracy, Rule of Law, and Sustainable Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the Third Uzbekistan-Belarus Women Entrepreneurs Business Forum, the sixth sectional meeting was held, focusing on the role of youth in promoting democratic principles, ensuring the rule of law, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Parliamentarians and representatives of the Youth Parliament of Uzbekistan participated in the discussion, highlighting that the Youth Parliament operates successfully in the country, serving as an important platform for engaging the younger generation in government processes and implementing its legislative initiatives.

Particular attention was paid to digital equality, the development of leadership qualities among young women in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence, as well as support for their startup projects. Uzbekistan’s positive experience in these areas was noted.

A separate discussion point was the “green diplomacy” initiative proposed by Uzbekistan, aimed at fostering environmental awareness among youth, encouraging their contribution to environmental protection, and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The parties also explored prospects for expanding youth cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including exchange programs, joint projects, and the development of dialogue platforms to deepen collaboration.
