Uzbekistan and Belarus Strengthen Cooperation Between Women’s Organizations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the Third Belarus-Uzbek Women’s Business Forum, held in Vitebsk during the visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Belarusian Women’s Union and the Committee on Family and Women of Uzbekistan.

The Belarusian Women’s Union has participated in this format for the third time. As noted by the organization’s Chairperson Olga Shpilevskaya, the forum serves not only as a platform for reaching new agreements but also as an opportunity to review the results of joint work started two years ago.

She emphasized that the activities of women entrepreneurs encompass not only the economic sphere but also a wide range of social initiatives, including projects aimed at women’s and children’s health, the development of educational and medical programs, and the exchange of experience in organizing women’s associations.

During the meeting, held at the Vitebsk Art Museum, representatives from both countries discussed promising areas of cooperation and exchanged experiences in education, entrepreneurship, culture, and social support. Participants also explored opportunities for joint projects and identified priority directions for further collaboration.

The signed memorandum provides for the development of bilateral relations between the Senate’s Business Women’s Club and the “Women Entrepreneurs and Business Women” union of Uzbekistan, as well as the combined organization of entrepreneurial entities within the Belarusian Women’s Union.

First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Family and Women of Uzbekistan, Umida Abdullaeva, emphasized the importance of exchanging experience in raising the younger generation and preserving the family institution.

“In the context of globalization, we face a powerful flow of information. Our shared task is to cultivate children’s resilience to negative influences and instill moral and family values,” she noted.
