Uzbekistan and Belarus Expand Partnership in Light Industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an official visit of an Uzbek parliamentary delegation to the Republic of Belarus, the Third Belarusian-Uzbek Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs was held under the motto: “Uzbekistan – Belarus: Cooperation as a Factor of Sustainable Development.”

A key event of the forum was the session “Light Industry: New Horizons for Cooperation,” which brought together parliamentarians from both countries, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as entrepreneurs operating in the textile, leather and footwear, and design sectors.

Participants discussed prospects for joint projects, exchanged experiences in supporting national manufacturers, implementing innovative technologies, and increasing export potential.

Special attention was given to expanding cooperation in scientific research, education, design, and production of goods that meet modern international market standards.
