Uzbekistan and Belarus Discuss Cooperation in Consumer Rights Protection

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 October 2025, a meeting was held in Minsk under the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus and the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by Elmurat Khaitmetov, Head of the Consumer Rights Protection Department of the Uzbek Committee, and Zhanna Kuchevskaya, Head of the Department of the Belarusian Ministry.

The parties discussed current issues and ongoing reforms in consumer rights protection, as well as opportunities to expand collaboration in the field of digital platforms.

The Uzbek delegation is in Belarus to participate in the 59th meeting of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy and the 45th meeting of the Joint Inspection Headquarters on Violations of Antimonopoly Legislation in CIS countries.
