Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Sign Parliamentary Cooperation Roadmap for 2025–2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a meeting between the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, and the Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, a Plan of Practical Measures ("roadmap") for the development of interparliamentary cooperation for 2025–2026 was signed.
The signing of this document marked a significant step toward the further deepening of interparliamentary relations.
The parties noted that the roadmap not only outlines concrete goals and areas of cooperation but also provides a solid foundation for enhancing integration processes between the two countries in the legislative sphere.
In addition, the Regulations on the Activities of the Interparliamentary Commission were signed, aimed at institutionalizing and systematizing the bilateral dialogue between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that the adoption of this document will ensure a stable and effective format of cooperation focused on the development of political, economic, and humanitarian partnership.
Both sides expressed confidence that the agreements reached will serve as a stimulus for the further expansion of interparliamentary cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives.
