Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Agree on Cooperation in Capital Markets and Cryptoassets

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The National Agency of Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the development, regulation, and supervision of capital markets, insurance, and the circulation of cryptoassets.

The document is aimed at establishing a long-term and sustainable platform for interaction between the two sides, as well as at expanding the exchange of experience and information within their respective mandates. The Memorandum provides for broader cooperation in organizing international events, seminars, forums, and training programs, conducting online meetings and short-term study visits, implementing joint research projects, and exchanging legislative, analytical, and statistical information in relevant areas.

Particular attention is given to the development of innovative financial technologies, enhancing financial inclusion and operational efficiency, and sharing best practices in the regulation of fintech companies and the introduction of new financial solutions.

The signing of the Memorandum reflects the mutual interest of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in strengthening institutional partnerships and promoting the development of modern and sustainable financial markets in both countries.
