Uzbekistan and Austria expand cultural cooperation ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Vienna between Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts Gayane Umerova and Adviser to the Federal President of Austria for European and International Affairs Lucia Kronsteiner.

During the talks, the sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including the development of cultural diplomacy and the creative economy, expansion of international contacts, and exchange of best practices.

Special attention was given to strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation and broadening formats of interaction between relevant institutions of the two countries.

It was noted that consistent attention from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to this sector contributes to the intensification of international cooperation and further strengthening of cultural ties.

Both sides confirmed mutual interest in developing partnership and implementing joint initiatives in the field of culture and creative industries.
