Uzbekistan and Austria Discuss Expanding Trade Cooperation and Promoting the “Made in Uzbekistan” Brand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davronbek Kurbanov, held working talks with Andreas Herz, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, and Matthias Radostich, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Austria to Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the current state of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Austria, as well as opportunities for further expansion. During the meeting, concrete initiatives were proposed to strengthen bilateral ties.
Among the topics considered were internship and professional development programs for Uzbek specialists in Austria, aimed at enhancing human capital and promoting knowledge exchange between entrepreneurs and professionals of both countries.
Additionally, the creation of an Uzbek-Austrian Business Council was proposed to serve as a platform for direct dialogue, partner search, and implementation of joint projects. Special attention was given to promoting national products in the European market.
Measures discussed included boosting the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand, opening a Trade House of Uzbekistan in Austria, and organizing exhibitions and presentations to popularize Uzbek products.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, implement concrete projects, and continue constructive dialogue between the business communities of the two countries.
