Uzbekistan and Austria Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Transport Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jasurbek Choriyev, held a working meeting with an Austrian delegation led by Elisabeth Weissenbeck, Director for Foreign Economic Relations at Austria’s Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy, and Tourism.
During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the transport sector.
Particular attention was paid to potential joint projects, including the construction of road bridges, the development of railway infrastructure, and the establishment of direct air connections between Tashkent and Vienna.
Both sides noted the high potential for collaboration and expressed mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation in transport and logistics.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue the dialogue and develop concrete initiatives in the identified areas.
