Uzbekistan and Austria Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Security and Migration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with Austria’s Minister of Interior, Gerhard Karner.

The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation in key areas, including security, migration, counterterrorism, and other pressing challenges.

Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding information exchange and institutional partnerships between relevant agencies of the two countries.

The ministers also explored the development of joint initiatives aimed at ensuring stability and safeguarding citizens’ security.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties confirmed their readiness to continue practical dialogue and advance cooperation across all mutually relevant areas.
