Uzbekistan and Austria Delegations Agree to Continue Work on Visa and Migration Issues

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The first consular consultations between the consular services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Austria were held in Vienna.

During the talks, the delegations discussed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, including the continuation of work on a draft Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Migration and Mobility to further develop collaboration in this area.

The parties also discussed preparing an intergovernmental agreement on visa issuance for holders of diplomatic passports, revising the procedure for recognizing apostilles issued by competent authorities of Uzbekistan, and the possibility of processing visas for Uzbek citizens through the Austrian diplomatic mission in Astana.

Following the consultations, both sides noted that the negotiations would contribute to further strengthening consular and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
