Uzbekistan and Austria deepen cultural cooperation ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Vienna between Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts Gayane Umerova and Adviser to the Federal Chancellor of Austria for International Affairs Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal.
During the talks, the sides reviewed current issues and prospects for bilateral cooperation, with a focus on cultural collaboration, expansion of institutional ties, and strengthening international dialogue.
Special attention was given to joint projects in the field of music, including Uzbekistan’s planned participation in the Salzburg Festival starting from 2027.
The discussions also covered the development of museum cooperation, including partnerships with leading Austrian cultural institutions such as Albertina Museum and Weltmuseum Wien.
Both sides confirmed mutual interest in further strengthening cultural relations and implementing joint initiatives aimed at promoting cultural heritage and expanding international cooperation.
