Uzbekistan and Asian Development Bank Discuss New Areas of Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 October, a meeting took place between Jesper Klindt Petersen, Regional Director of the Central and West Asia Operations Coordination Department at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Jasur Karshibaev, Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was also attended by Mirzo Iskandar Gulamov, Head of Operations at the ADB Resident Mission in Uzbekistan, senior operations specialist Shaista Hussein, and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The parties discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation, enhance the efficiency of ongoing projects, and explore plans for new joint initiatives.
Special attention was given to developing partnership relations, promoting investment programs, and expanding ADB’s participation in projects across Uzbekistan.
As a result of the discussions, both sides agreed to continue dialogue and establish a systematic and effective framework for cooperation.
