Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov held a meeting with a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) Mr. Arian Azimi.

The meeting focused on prospects for expanding bilateral economic ties, strengthening cooperation between the private sectors, and encouraging mutual investment.

The parties proposed several initiatives to enhance collaboration, including holding regular B2B meetings in Tashkent, Kabul, Termez, and Balkh on a quarterly basis; opening an ACCI representative office in Tashkent to strengthen investment links; simplifying business visa procedures for Afghan entrepreneurs; expediting cargo transportation through the Termez port and streamlining customs procedures; as well as organizing annual joint trade exhibitions in Kabul and Tashkent, or alternatively in Mazar-i-Sharif and Termez.
