Uzbekistan and ADQ Discuss Expanding Investments in the Mining and Metallurgical Industries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Roderick Mathers, CEO of ADQ, and representatives of Orion AD.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, implementing joint investment projects, and exploring new areas of partnership in the geological and mining sectors.

The foreign side expressed strong interest in investing in Uzbekistan’s major mining and metallurgical enterprises, including projects related to mineral processing and the production of technological metals.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to establish a joint working group to conduct a detailed study of potential cooperation opportunities and to develop a project portfolio. They also confirmed their intention to begin the practical implementation of new investment initiatives in Uzbekistan in the near future.
