Uzbekistan and Action Group Holdings discuss cooperation in the mining industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology U. Yusupov and ministry representatives held talks with a delegation led by M. Abdullah, a member of the Executive Committee of Action Group Holdings.
The head of the foreign delegation expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for organizing the meeting and noted that the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s mining sector, along with the favorable conditions being created for investors, are generating significant interest. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation, particularly in the field of critical minerals.
The ministry’s leadership and experts provided insights into the institution’s key priorities and reaffirmed their commitment to improving the investment climate while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
During the meeting, special attention was given to the establishment of Uzbek Technological Metals JSC in 2024, in accordance with a Presidential Decree. The company’s primary objectives include the efficient utilization of strategically important raw material reserves—such as lithium, graphite, tungsten, tantalum-niobium, and magnesium—and the development of a high-value-added production chain through deep processing of these materials.
