Uzbekistan, Anadolu Group Discuss Expansion of SamAuto
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 March 2026, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Bora Koçak, head of the automotive division of the Turkish holding Anadolu Group, to discuss the development of SamAuto.
The automotive division of Anadolu Group manufactures buses, midibuses, and light trucks at its factory in Kocaeli, Türkiye, with an annual production capacity of around 4,000 units. Its products are exported to over 40–45 countries, and the company is one of Türkiye’s largest midibus exporters. In addition, Anadolu Group acquired 75.2% of SamAuto, the Samarkand-based bus and truck manufacturer.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed SamAuto’s current performance and discussed prospects for further development. Particular attention was given to expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects within Uzbekistan’s automotive sector.
Plans for modernizing the plant, increasing production capacity, and launching new product lines under the SamAuto brand were also considered.
Previously, in December 2025, the Agency for State Assets Management of Uzbekistan completed the sale of 75.2% of SamAuto to Anadolu Isuzu. The partnership aims to strengthen the company’s position in both the domestic and export markets.
