Uzbekistan Airways conducts 11,620 flights in 1H 2010

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, carried out 11,620 flights in the first half of 2010, or 89 flights more year-on-year, the company reported.
In the reporting period, the company transported 972,600 passengers, or grew by 122,700 passengers year-on-year. The average load per flight rose from 74 to 84.
The volume of transported freight increased 2.5 times year-on-year to 22,600 tonnes (including paid luggage). Of which 11,700 tonnes were transported with help of A300-600 aircrafts from Navoi to Delhi, Mumbai and Bankgok, in March-May 2010 two new flights were launched – from Navoi to Frankfurt and Dhaka. The growth rate made up 7.1%.
