Uzbekistan Airways Comments on Boeing 767 Incident
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airways has commented on the emergency landing involving its Boeing 767 aircraft, stressing that the decision was taken for operational reasons and in full compliance with aviation safety requirements.
According to the airline, the need for the unscheduled landing arose due to changes in flight operating conditions and the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
Uzbekistan Airways clarified that, in accordance with the Air Code of the Russian Federation and Federal Aviation Regulations, it was not possible to continue the flight along the original route. As a result, a decision was made to alter the passenger transportation scheme and deploy a reserve aircraft.

The aircraft will then depart Tashkent at 09:00 and arrive in Vladivostok at 21:00. The return flight from Vladivostok to Tashkent is scheduled for 22:30, with arrival at 01:30 the following day.
The airline emphasized that passengers are being provided with the full range of services in accordance with the terms of the air carriage contract and applicable legislation.
Passengers awaiting departure in Krasnoyarsk have been accommodated in a hotel and provided with all necessary services. In Vladivostok, passengers of flight HY708 are also being offered accommodation and meals during the waiting period, in line with the airline’s rules.
