Uzbekistan Airways Aircraft That Made Emergency Landing in Krasnoyarsk Temporarily Grounded
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Boeing aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways that made an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk on the Tashkent–Vladivostok route has been temporarily taken out of service, according to the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
“During the flight, the aircraft (Boeing 767-300) made an unscheduled landing at Krasnoyarsk International Airport named after D.A. Hvorostovsky due to a technical issue. The landing was carried out safely. The aircraft is temporarily grounded,” the statement reads.
The office also noted that the Krasnoyarsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office has organized oversight measures to protect passenger rights, including providing all services due in the event of a flight delay.
Earlier, the airport’s press service reported that the emergency landing occurred without incident and that no one was injured. Currently, the Krasnoyarsk Transport Investigation Department of the Eastern Main Transport Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee is conducting a preliminary inquiry under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of Safety Rules in Air Transport Operation and Traffic”).
Uzbekistan Airways announced the assignment of a backup aircraft to continue transporting passengers of flight HY707/708, which was en route from Tashkent to Vladivostok and made the emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk.
According to the updated schedule, the flight will depart from Krasnoyarsk to Vladivostok at 05:30, arriving at 12:30. The return flight from Vladivostok to Tashkent is scheduled for 14:30, with arrival at 17:00.
During the waiting period, passengers have been provided with meals and accommodation in a hotel.
