Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekistan Airports took part in an international conference on aviation medicine, held at the Belarusian State Academy of Aviation.
The event brought together over 70 specialists from Uzbekistan, Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Participants discussed issues related to medical and sanitary-epidemiological support for aviation, improvement of medical examination procedures for aviation personnel, and occupational health and safety in the sector.
Sevara Salikhova, Head of the Medical Support Development Department at Uzbekistan Airports, emphasized the importance of such meetings for strengthening professional collaboration:
“Events like this facilitate the exchange of experience and jointly improve the safety and health standards of aviation personnel. This is particularly important, as the health of employees in aviation is directly linked to flight safety and the lives of passengers.”
The conference also featured a specialized session on “Modern Trends and Technologies in Flight Safety Management.” Participants were shown the academy’s training and laboratory facilities, and practical exercises were conducted on responding to aviation incidents involving hazardous cargo on board.
The three-day meeting provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and strengthening international cooperation in aviation medicine, aimed at enhancing safety and promoting sustainable development in civil aviation.
