Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Information about the congestion of people at the Tashkent international airport named after Islam Karimov has been disseminated on social networks. Uzbekistan Airports commented on this.

On 3 November, about 200 people arrived at the airport with the intention of taking an UzAirways flight on the Tashkent-Istanbul route. However, this flight was not on the schedule. Passengers reported that they all bought tickets through Asia Luxe Travel.

Employees of the Tashkent airport called representatives of the travel company and the airline and demanded that passengers be given information about the cancellation of flights and take all actions to resolve this situation.

According to representatives of the airline, the travel company organized the sale of air tickets without coordinating the slot with UzAirways. According to preliminary data, about 200 tickets were sold for the flight.

The travel company, trying to resolve the situation, distributed water to the passengers and organized transport to send them to the hotel. However, people refused to leave the terminal building. At the moment, on the initiative of the Ministry of Transport, a reserve aircraft has been allocated and the registration of passengers for the flight has begun.
