Uzbekistan: Agricultural Producers to Receive Subsidies for Raw Cotton
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved Decree No. 771, “Temporary Regulation on the Procedure for Allocating Subsidies to Agricultural Entities for Raw Cotton,” to be implemented through exchange trades from the 2025 harvest.
According to the document, raw cotton producers will receive a subsidy of 1 million soums per ton of sold raw cotton. The regulation applies to deliveries conducted through exchange trades from the 2025 harvest until 1 January 2026, and for spot contracts — until 1 April 2026.
Producers may submit an application for the subsidy only once, regardless of whether they sold their products in full or in parts. Applications are submitted via the personal account on the Unified Integration Platform “Digital Agriculture”.
The compiled list of subsidy recipients is forwarded to the State Fund for Agricultural Support by the 10th day of each month.
Commercial banks are required to transfer the funds to the producer’s account within three banking days.
This measure is aimed at supporting farmers and encouraging cotton sales through exchange mechanisms, promoting transparency and the development of the country’s agricultural sector.
