Uzbekistan adopts programme on combating corruption
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to implement the provisions of the Law “On Combating Corruption”.
The resolution adopted a state programme on combating corruption for 2017-2018.
The programme includes measures on improving the legislation in Uzbekistan, developing the national programme to improve the legal culture in society.
Within the programme, the Government plans to realize measures on ensuring transparence of formation and use of budget resources, etc.
President of Uzbekistan also established the Republican interdepartmental commission on combating corruption. The Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Ikhtiyor Abdullayev heads the committee.
The resolution said that decisions of new commission will be mandatory for execution to all state bodies, public unions and other organizations.
