Uzbekenergo to direct US$75.05m to update electricity network in 2014

Within the programme on modernization of electricity network of 0.4-35 kilovolts, this year it is planned to repair existing electricity supply networks with the length of 3,500 km, construction of 270 km of new electricity network lines and replace over 600 sub-stations of 6-10 kilovolts and construction of 24 sub-stations of 35 kilovolts.

The modernization will be financed due to own resources of Uzbekenergo.

Earlier, it is planned that Uzbekenergo is planning to direct about US$440 million to reconstruct electricity distribution networks of .4-35 kilovolts in 2011-2015.
