Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A citizen of Uzbekistan who sustained severe injuries in a traffic accident in Türkiye has received necessary assistance from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, according to an official statement from the diplomatic mission.

According to the Consulate General, the woman, identified as M.A., was in Türkiye for employment purposes when she was struck by a motorcyclist while crossing the street. As a result of the accident, she suffered serious physical injuries and found herself in an extremely vulnerable situation — without financial means or stable housing.

Given the circumstances, the Consulate General, with the support of the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and in close coordination with Uzbekistan Airways, arranged for medical assistance, covered the costs of treatment, and facilitated her repatriation to Uzbekistan.
