Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The current year 2022 for the textile industry of Uzbekistan was very eventful: since the beginning of the year, many events have been held, such as textile forums, various seminars, international exhibitions and numerous meetings with foreign companies interested in cooperation, brands and retailers. Including visits of delegations from different countries since the beginning of the year.
Uzbekistan attracts foreign partners with the stability of the political and economic situation and readiness for cooperation in all areas, in particular in the textile sector, the task of which is to increase the export of finished products.
Russia considers Uzbekistan as reliable partners, which in 2021 exported textile, clothing and knitwear products to Russia in the amount of about US$1 billion. According to the results of the first months of 2022 - almost US$400 million.
In the first summer days, a delegation from Russia stays in Uzbekistan, consisting of representatives of such leading Russian marketplaces as Wildberries, Yandex. Market, Ozon, Lamoda and others (about 90 people).
The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the finished textile products of Uzbekistan and study the issue of supplying high-quality finished products to the Russian markets.
During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the products of large Uzbek textile enterprises LUKBO TECHTILE, Chirchik Mega Biznes, Zarista textile and Uzteh Group.
The production of jeans, sportswear, T-shirts, socks, women’s shirts aroused great interest among the guests. The issue of supplying these products was also agreed upon.
The second day of the delegation’s visit was marked by B2B meetings between representatives of the Russian delegation and more than 70 representatives of domestic textile and clothing enterprises. Meetings in this format help to establish direct contact between the parties involved, which leads to increased cooperation, qualitatively and quantitatively, between the two countries.
