Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw, together with the Association "Uztekstilprom", CCI "Poland-Asia", the company "GD Poland International" organized the Week of Uzbek Textiles in Poland, Dunyo reported.
Representatives of textile companies from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Namangan, Andijan and Khorezm regions participated in the events of the Week.
A presentation of the textile industry of Uzbekistan was organized at the GD Poland International textile wholesale company, data were provided on the implementation of a package of measures to further develop the export potential and search for new markets for products. During meetings in the B2B format, information was provided on the potential of the textile enterprises of our country, the conditions created for foreign investors.
President of the Poland-Asia CCI J. Pechoczynski noted that in recent years trade and economic relations between the two countries have been expanding dynamically and Poland plays the role of a “bridge” for the supply of textile products to the European market.
The speeches of representatives of the diplomatic mission and Uzbek textile workers provided detailed information on Uzbek textile, natural, mineral and artificial textile, silk, linen, cotton, wool and mixed fabrics, knitwear and other products.
During the negotiations, GD Poland International proposed creating an exhibition hall and a showroom for demonstration and wholesale of textile and clothing products from Uzbekistan.
Uzbek textile workers also took part in the annual Fast Textile International Textile Fair - 2019 international textile exhibition, which was attended by about 35 thousand industry experts.
Uzbekistan was represented by six stands covering an area of more than 80 square meters, which presented the latest trends and solutions of the textile industry, opening up new prospects for the development of the Uzbek textile business. At the stand, where over 160 types of textile products were placed, a demonstration of samples of goods and services, a presentation for potential buyers and journalists took place.
Within the framework of the Uzbek Textile Week in Poland, agreements were signed with Polish companies for the supply of ready-made fabrics, coarse calico, cotton yarn and yarn, bleached and printed fabrics, ready-made ecological bags from coarse natural calico, terry towels worth more than US$20 million in 2020.
