Uzbek, Tajik Interior Ministers hold meeting

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 June, Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan Major-General Abdusalom Azizov held talks with Interior Minister of Interior Affairs of Tajikistan Lieutenant-General Ramazon Rakhimzoda in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan arrived in the capital of Tajikistan to participate in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states.

During the talks, the ministers exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in combating transnational organized crime, including terrorism, extremism, and illicit drug trafficking.

Ministers of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also discussed other topical issues and proposals.
