Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 January 2023, a telephone conversation took place between Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan congratulated Bakhtiyor Saidov on his appointment to a high responsible position, wishing him success in his professional activities.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the further development of Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship and good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.

An exchange of views took place on the implementation of the agreements reached between the Presidents of the two countries.

The readiness of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to continue an active political dialogue in a bilateral format and to provide mutual support within the framework of international institutions was emphasized.

The schedule and various aspects of the planned activities at the highest and high levels were considered.
