Uzbek State TV to acquire modern multimedia equipment

On 27 June 2017, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyov signed a resolution “On additional measures to equip the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan with modern multimedia equipment for switching to digital broadcasting”.

The resolution said that the company is implementing a project “Equipping the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan with modern multimedia equipment for switching to digital broadcasting”.

The National TV and Radio Company of Uzbekistan signed a contract with BFE Studio und Medien Systeme Gmbh (Germany) for the supply, installation, commissioning of the whole complex of equipment for 18.0 million euros. The work on project implementation is underway.

Uzbek leader approved the proposal of NTRC to purchase additional equipment, works and services under the project.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the NTRC to conclude an additional agreement with BFE Studio und Medien Systeme Gmbh (Germany) within a month for the supply, installation and commissioning of the entire complex of additional equipment, providing for the complete delivery of works by 1 January 2018 .

As a result, the value of the contract will grow from 18 million euros to 22.5 million euros.
