Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 March 2025, a meeting took place between the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the current state of Uzbek-Russian cooperation on Afghan affairs, as well as issues related to regional security.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to continuing joint efforts aimed at the socio-economic recovery of Afghanistan.
