Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 October 2020, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoyev met with the Executive Director of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) of Great Britain Hussein Abdullah in the format of videoconference to discuss possible areas of interaction with this structure.

Speaking about the fight against the impact of the global pandemic, the British side noted that Uzbekistan has taken effective measures to counter COVID-19. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan is consistently continuing the course of reforms aimed at ensuring sustainable progress in all areas.

Also H. Abdullah congratulated the country on the election to the UN Human Rights Council, noting this as a great achievement and recognition of the reforms carried out in our country by the international community.

The Institute operates in such areas as strategic planning in the field of economic reforms aimed at improving the level of well-being, assistance in attracting foreign investment, consulting on creating a positive image.
