Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 November 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov as part of his working visit to Moscow.
The ministers compared their positions on the eve of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation, reviewed its content and the list of documents to be adopted on the sidelines of the Russian-Uzbek summit. An exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues in Russian-Uzbek relations, international and regional agendas.
They noted the progressive development of bilateral political dialogue, the high dynamics of contacts between the foreign affairs agencies, which corresponds to the nature of our relations - strategic partnership and alliance.
On the instructions of the heads of state, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of international information security, an intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding on biological security, as well as the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2023. These documents are included in the official list of agreements during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation.
