Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 December, during the working trip of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov to Moscow, negotiations were held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues of foreign policy interaction, key topics of the international and regional agendas.

The course of preparation of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation was considered. In this context, the Ministers verified the list of interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents planned for signing.

The sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue close cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, including mutual support in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
