Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange data now available on Bloomberg Terminal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange (UzRCE) has taken a major step toward enhancing its global visibility by making its market data accessible on Bloomberg Terminals.
This development allows international investors to access real-time quotes and indicators for Uzbekistan’s currency, money markets, government securities, and derivatives markets through the command {OTC UZS}.
Established in 1992, UzRCE is Uzbekistan’s largest multifunctional exchange platform, consolidating various market trades under one system. In 2023, the exchange’s trading volume reached $81 billion, involving 35 local commercial banks, six brokerage firms, and one foreign custodian bank.
Rashid Usmanov, CEO of UzRCE, highlighted that this collaboration with Bloomberg ensures accurate and up-to-date data access for global investors, enhancing asset management, building market trust, and boosting liquidity growth.
David Tamburelli, Global Head of Bloomberg’s Data Licensing Division, expressed satisfaction in offering UzRCE’s data to clients, enabling them to effectively evaluate investment opportunities in Uzbekistan.
UzRCE data is accessible via Bloomberg licenses and the B-PIPE channel, marking a significant milestone in the development of Uzbekistan’s financial market and paving the way for increased foreign investment.
