Uzbek President visits Ferghana Valley

According to the press service of the Uzbek President, Islam Karimov visited farms Baraka (Mingbulak district) and Obod Zamin (Uychi district) of Namangan region and talked with the farmers.

President underlined that it is impossible to achieve development and well-being with only producing grain and cotton. It is necessary to increase number of industrial enterprises in the rural areas and continue structural reforms in economy, he added.

In the second half of the day, President of Uzbekistan paid a visit to Ferghana region, the press service of the Uzbek leader said.

He familiarized with works on realization of general plan of Ferghana and activities of Narimtex in Margilan city.

Uzbek leader said that it is necessary to master production of new products, demanded both in internal and external markets, paying attention to design and creation of own brand.
