Uzbek President receives head of Gazprom

Uzbek leader expressed his satisfaction with the level of long-term and mutual beneficial bilateral cooperation in oil and gas sector.

Gazprom is actively participates in exploration and development of hydrocarbon fields in Uzbekistan, as well as exports of natural gas.

Russian company opened Zhel field in Ustyurt. The company extracted 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas at Shahpahty field.

Gazprom also participates in realization of exploration and development of fields in Gissar region, utilization of associated petroleum gases, as well as the development of the activities of the leading industrial design institute of Uzbekistan - UzLITINEFTEGAZ.

During the meeting, the sides considered perspective projects on further expanding mutual beneficial cooperation on development of oil and gas complex of Uzbekistan, including within adopted programme on increasing extracting hydrocarbons for 2017-2021. The sides also discussed training of specialists.

Chairperson of the board of Russian company Gazprom Aleksey Miller said that Russian company is ready for wide-scale cooperation with Uzbekistan and expressed gratitude for supporting its projects in the country.
